I am a Clinical Hypnotherapist; graduated with Honors and received an Academic Achievement Award from the Hypnosis Motivation Institute in 2017, after clocking just over 1,000 pro-bono practice hours with clients during my training, and earned a Diploma in Clinical Hypnotherapy.

Beautiful Births started as a documentary project for a class when I was in film school. From the success of the 5-minute portfolio version which gained 4.9 million views on YouTube in a matter of 6 months, the feature version of the documentary was born. I continued to add to my work in this area, helping to educate and empower new parents-to-be, by adding a hypnotherapy program, a series of MP3s, a book, and support groups…and then one day I realized I had built a brand.

I have six children and had five very different pregnancy and birth experiences. I had a cesarean section with my twins in 2003, followed by two very different back-to-back VBAC experiences in hospitals in 2005 and 2006. I had my last son with a licensed Midwife and in water, by candle light at a birth center in 2008. In January 2022, I had a precipitous labor (very intense, very fast) which resulted in an unplanned, unassisted home birth with my daughter and my 15 year old son was my only birth support.
